Trump's victory will be powerful incentive to strengthen right-wing forces

American Embassy in London

She predicted Trump's election would herald the defeat of the Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnership between the United States and European Union, the taming of "wild globalization" and improved global relations, particularly with Russian Federation.

Hungary's populist Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who has been at the forefront of a campaign to restrict the E.U.'s attempt to relocate asylum seekers, said on Facebook that Trump's win was "great news" and that "democracy is still alive".

He added that France and French political elites had to take note and learn from the U.S. election.

"What happened last night was not the end of the world but the end of a world".

However, he reiterated that Europe had to think of itself first, and said eastern Europe especially should worry about a potential US disengagement on the continent under Trump, given Russia's presence on its frontier.

" Marine Le Pen's estranged father, the former far-right leader, Jean-Marie Le Pen, added: "Today the United States, tomorrow France".

Greece's far-right Golden Dawn party, the country's third largest, hailed Trump's election as a victory in favor of ethnically "clean" nations and against "illegal immigration", Reuters reports.

Just three years old, the anti-immigrant Alternative for Germany (AfD), has become a force at the national level, unsettling Chancellor Angela Merkel's conservatives, who have been punished in a series of regional votes because of her welcoming policy toward refugees. He says, "We hope that this ambassador leaves Russian Federation. he hates Russian Federation".

"Americans have chosen a new beginning free of corruption and sleaze", she also tweeted. She had previously called his Muslim-ban plan "wrong".

President Francois Hollande, who has yet to announce whether he will run for a second term in next year's French presidential election, said Paris wanted to immediately begin talks with Trump to clarify his stance on key worldwide affairs.

"The a vital partner for France and what's at stake is peace, the fight against terrorism, the situation in the Middle East, economic relations and the preservation of the planet", said Hollande.

In Austria, Europe's first nationalist head of state in this wave could be elected next month.

Freedom Party leader Heinz-Christian Strache said Trump's win shows "the political left and the aloof and sleazy establishment are being punished by voters and voted out of various decision-making positions".

In Spain, incumbent Mariano Rajoy was returned to power last week but only after two inconclusive elections in which voters fled his conservatives and their traditional rival on the left, the Socialists, for two new parties, Podemos and Ciudadanos.

A couple of Chinese participants at a U.S. Embassy event in Beijing say they'd welcome a Trump presidency, while another says he thinks the Republican candidate projects a flawed image of the United States.

"The broken taboos, the extent of political conflict, the aggression that we've seen from Trump, this can widen the scope of what becomes thinkable in our own political culture", Schwarzer said. And if national politicians are going to deal with Trump in a normal way, it will be harder to exclude radical-right politicians nationally.
