Ogilvy makes impressive move at Pebble Beach

Australia's world No.1 Jason Day, who was three under through nine holes, is nine shots off the pace on nine under in a tie for eighth with six holes to play.

After completing the final two holes of his first round which was cut short by inclement weather on Thursday, the two-time major victor then fired eight birdies in his seven-under-par 65 to sit at the top of the leaderboard on 10 under after the second round.

It was a further stroke back to two-time victor Dustin Johnson and unheralded Kelly Kraft, Americans who posted 65s for 205.

Not to be outdone, the Olympic champion holed out from the fringe for a closing birdie at the long 18th which capped a four-under 68 for Rose and gave Team Justin a great chance to make the cut in the team competition.

The two-time major victor then accused the men of trying to profit off his name by selling the items online and that he'd investigated evidence of it.

"It was kind of a tough one for me out there", Day said.

Amarillo native Ryan Palmer opened play Thursday in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am by shooting a 3-over 75 on the Spyglass Hill Course in Pebble Beach, Calif. "It was just mistake after mistake on the front for me and, unfortunately, that's sometimes how it goes".

The 23-year-old is now ranked sixth in the world on the PGA Tour, according to ESPN. You're still trying to benefit off me and I'm not even Tiger Woods. To be honest, I just kept on making silly errors and mistakes out there.
