UP CM Akhilesh Yadav promises voters maximum pension cover

UP polls No differences in party will campaign from tomorrow says Mulyam Singh Yadav

In an interview to a news website, Aparna also said she will not seek reservation for her daughter though she comes from a Yadav (Other Backward Caste) family. It was the day when Congress Vice-president Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh had held a joint press conference and followed it up with a roadshow which passed through three Assembly segments dominated by minority community. He (Shivpal) has not spoken to me or anyone in the party. The Congress and SP workers were stunned. "I will campaign (for the alliance) from tomorrow", he said. "We gave a good number of seats to Congress". He may have said that in anger.

Explaining the nitty gritty of the alliance, Yadav said that the SP Government during its five year tenure accelerated development in the State.

Shivpal Yadav, who has all along been with Mulayam in the bitter inner struggle against Akhilesh and his camp comprising most of the party leaders and supporters, recently said that he will form a new party after March 11 when election results are declared. "There is no division in party and family".

Mulayam, a wrestler-turned politician, also said Akhilesh will be the chief minister again, a sharp contrast to his earlier stand that the new leader will be selected by the new MLAs. Why this flip-flop? Is this because he realised that Akhilesh has come out of his shadow and was now negotiating on his own? ADR, The Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) says that BJP has the maximum candidates with criminal background contesting in the first phase. "He has been a big support for party and will remain so".
