Boston Celtics Sink 0-2 in Round 1

Charles Barkley, Rest Your Voice: Here's the Other Terrible Thing He Said Tonight

An attitude saved for not only the opposition, but for the media. Now, nobody epitomizes the Bulls' surprising metamorphosis more than their enigmatic point guard.

In the context of this insane season, those words coming out of Rondo's mouth somehow make flawless sense.

CSN's Bulls Insider Vincent Goodwill wrote about a one hour meeting between Rondo, Wade and Butler before Game 2 that allowed the "3 Alphas" to go over strategy for that night's game. That hasn't been the case for much of this season, even in the Game 1 victory.

Now that "dawg's" gotta eat.

"Everybody's putting in extra work, watching that film, working on their game". "I thought we would make a move, be it a big one or a small one". And Brad Stevens, faced with his third straight first-round exit - this time with a team considered better than the last two - has once again discovered that playoff pressure increases on everyone, including coaches. He's the general out there. It's key to have a point guard like him that controls the whole game.

As Smart backpedaled on defense, he continued to look not at the ball or his man, Dwyane Wade, but rather back in the direction where he took his shot.

The first thing that needs to be said is that first seed-eighth seed aside, the competitiveness of this series may not be all that surprising.

DWade: "That hate is that respect". When we played against Boston back in the day, he knew all the plays. He was that good. I think for myself and Jimmy [Butler] to have someone who is so locked in that gives us a different voice.

"It is a tough situation, and we are here to support him in any which way we can". "Tonight, our job was easy".

Still, though we're focused on the 1-8 of it all, the fact of the matter is that these are two talented and flawed teams with a lot of different players who can get hot on a given night. The Bulls won, 111-97, for a 2-0 lead.

"I just stayed in the gym and worked", Rondo said. Will the Celtics re-sign Kelly Olynyk or extend Marcus Smart and Avery Bradley?

While Rondo told the Chicago Tribune's K.C. Johnson, "This team was put together in a couple months with, I think, 10 new guys". "We definitely have to be better in the first quarter, but besides the first quarter we played them pretty even". Before that, during his years with the Celtics, there were few players you'd want facilitating for your team ahead of Rondo.

Rondo is no stranger to playing collector in mid-April.

"They played with an intensity and level from the beginning of the game", Jazz coach Quin Snyder said. "But I know the other 21.5 hours have been tough", said Stevens. And I would say, and I'm sure this isn't very original, that that hope runs directly through Al Horford who is way too good a player to have done so little so far.
