A suspect has been arrested in the slaying of a Google executive from New York, Massachusetts officials said Saturday.

"Good afternoon. We got him", Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early Jr. proclaimed at a news conference Saturday outside the police department in Princeton, a small community of about 3,500 residents in central MA.

Angel Cordero Ortiz, 31, was arrested overnight, according to reports in Boston, and is being held on $10 million ($13 million) bail.

A suspect is in the custody of the Massachusetts State Police in connection to the death of Princeton jogger Vanessa Marcotte, WCVB reported.

Police were able to obtain DNA evidence of the suspect from Marcotte's hands, Early said, because she fought back against her attacker.

An employee at Google's New York City office, Marcotte went missing during a jog while visiting her mother.

The 27-year-old Marcotte grew up in nearby Leominster (LEH'-mihn-stur). Vanessa Marcotte's (MAR-cot) body was found August 7 in some woods in Princeton.

Her body was later found naked and burned off Brooks Station Road just a half mile from her mother's home. DA Early said an alert state trooper in Worcester saw a man and a auto that matched the Marcotte murder suspect's description, and did a cheek DNA swab test that eventually led to Ortiz's arrest.

Early did not say at that press conference how police recovered the DNA, but said the man described is believed to have been driving a dark-colored SUV at the time of the crime.

Although Ortiz has not been formally charged with murder yet, Early said he anticipates a murder charge soon, and referenced Ortiz as Marcotte's "killer".

State police detectives and local police previously said they received more than 1,300 tips in the case.
