Nokia 6 and Nokia 6 Arte Black: First look, features and specs

We say this, as Android 7.1.1 Nougat update is being rolled out to the Nokia 6 users as we speak.

Can Nokia and BlackBerry stand on their own, or is it all hype and nostalgia?

The Nokia 6 which was initially launched in China in January for 1699 CNY has started receiving Android 7.1.1 update. A new background management feature will too be available on the device once you update it. It also adds an update for the phone's USB drivers and for some of its pre-loaded apps. A user also reported that the new update enables VoLTE mode on the device as well. The Nokia 6 has 64GB of internal memory which is further expandable to 128 GB with the help of Micro SD card.

The OTA update for the Nokia 6 reportedly weighs 369 MB. The new update was spotted on Twitter by The Android Soul with the new build number 00CN_3_170. Some preloaded apps on the smartphone also get updated.

According to a recent report from NPU, Nokia 9 will be the flagship smartphone that the Finnish company is going to release. Both the Nokia 8 and the Nokia 9 are expected to be announced by the end of the second quarter, while the devices could be introduced later.

The Nokia 6 is quite durable as evidenced by scratch and burns tests. Instead, the company took the wraps off three mid-end Android smartphones - the Nokia 6, 5 and 3, alongside a revamped version of Nokia 3310.

The smartphone on the left is supposedly the Nokia 8, which features a bezel-less display on the sides, but with room for a home button on the bottom side. The selfie camera is said to have a 12-megapixel shooter, while the phone could come with a 3,800mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0.

Coming to its camera, it sports a 16 megapixels primary camera with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, 1.0um sensor and a dual-tone LED flash; and a 8 megapixels secondary camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 1.12um sensor.
