Watch the moment teenage Mark Zuckerberg got accepted to Harvard

Mr. Zuckerberg enrolled in Harvard College in 2002 as a member of the class of 2006.

The social networking website's top official will be "going back for commencement to get [his] degree" next week, he wrote in a Facebook post.

"Yay, I got accepted", Mark says, before his proud dad has a much louder reaction, yelling "Alright, yes, great!"

His father then chimes in with a bit more excitement.

In the video, we see a young Zuckerberg hanging out in his room while his dad Edward films him. He left Harvard once Facebook took off.

Zuckerberg, who left Harvard his sophomore year, will be receiving an honorary Doctor of Letters degree. The young entrepreneur, however, is about to receive an honourary degree at Harvard on May 25.

To which Zuckerberg replied, "That was definitely not my plan". One lesson I've learned from marriage is that exploring together just gets better over time.

Mark also touched on his family's thoughts on his college days after a commenter joked that he chose a "very roundabout way to avoid Harvard's core curriculum requirements".

In the comments thread below the video, Zuckerberg pokes fun at his "old-school" desktop computer, and reveals that his mother bet him that he'd drop out.

"Oh, they'll be there", he said.
