Police arrest 2 more suspects over bridge attack

The non-metallic nature of the knives suggests the killers may have been concerned about metal detectors.

The commissioner of London's Metropolitan Police says the nationalities of the eight victims in the terrorist attack on London Bridge tell a proud story of London's unique makeup.

Commander Dean Haydon, head of the Metropolitan Police's counterterrorism unit, said early Saturday that authorities want to know more about the unusual knives.

They believe there will be many others who saw the incidents but have yet to contact police, and are asking them to come forward. Suddenly they embrace the path of violence and carry out terror attacks. "If you know anything about these particular types of knives, please let us know - it could prove a crucial lead in our investigation", Haydon added.

The knives are 12 inches long and are branded Ernesto.

London Metropolitan Police told CNN Butt - the group's alleged ringleader - attempted to rent a larger truck the morning of the attack, but failed to provide payment details.

Law enforcement have conducted a series of raids in connection with the London Bridge attack and arrested 19 people in the week after.

Spain's Foreign Ministry says a British autopsy concluded that Ignacio Echeverria, the Spaniard who confronted assailants during last weekend's attacks in London, died after being stabbed in the back.

All three of the attackers were armed with pink ceramic knives, believed to have been bought from a Lidl store.

Scotland Yard on Friday made a new arrest as part of its investigation into the London Bridge attack carried out by three men including a Pakistani-origin terrorist last week.

All three attackers were shot dead before they could make their way back to the van, which held a stash of Molotov cocktails.

There were blow torches for lighting these "Molotov cocktails".

On June 3, the van crossed London Bridge heading south.

She said that includes "whether you see something suspicious, you know somebody who has started to behave strangely, you are hiring a vehicle to somebody and you have concerns about them".

The van was packed with sacks of gravel and chairs, possibly to increase its weight as a "battering ram".

The warped killer and his two accomplices, Redoaune, 30, and Zaghba, 22, were shot dead by police who arrived at the scene in eight minutes.

The flammable liquid was put inside 13 wine bottles, some of which were labelled "Baywood: Fruity Rose", and had rags tied to their lids, police said.

Separately on Saturday, London's Daily Telegraph newspaper reported Butt had made the interview stage for a job on the security team at the Wimbledon tennis tournament.

The trio wore leather belts attached to the vests, with three water bottles covered in tape attacked to them.

After an election in which the parties clashed over police funding to fight terror, Ms Dick said that she and other anti-terror agencies would be reviewing what was needed in order to prevent further attacks.

Police searching the suspected safe house also found bottles of lighter fluid and gas, rolls of duct tape, scraps of clothing, and Redouane's bank, and ID cards.
