ISIS: We Were Responsible for Las Vegas

ISIS threats to US

The terrorist organization ISIS is urging its members to create English propaganda to frame the October 1 shooting in Las Vegas, which killed 59 people and wounded 527, as the actions of a "soldier" of their so-called Caliphate. ISIS attacks have been carried out by mostly young men.

As a matter of fact, after a very short span of time news links were swarming in Facebook and Twitter that the Shooter is a part of ISIS.

He was radicalised by Isis The terror group claimed the gunman had converted to Islam shortly before the attack and said Paddock had died as a "soldier of the caliphate".

At least 59 people were killed and 530 were injured in the attack.

A communication from October 3 noted that USA news outlets say Paddock's motives are still unknown.

Stephen Paddock's family said he had no political or religious affiliation. "For terrorist groups, being in the news is one of the validations that they have an impact", he said. Paddock killed himself as police closed in, making it easier for ISIS to make the claim.

In an apparent attempt to raise morale, ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi released an audio message last week, the first since November, vowing to continue fighting and lavishing praise on his jihadis for their valor in the battlefield.

However, when Isis claimed the attack on a casino in the Philippines that killed dozens of people, it was later left embarrassed when police later identified the attacker as a Filipino gambling addict who was US$80,000 in debt, saying it was a botched robbery that was not terrorism-related.

Isis was also linked to a vehicle and knife attack in Edmonton, Canada, where a police officer found a flag used by the group in the perpetrator's auto.

"The attack on Las Vegas is a soldier of the Islamic state and the operation was carried out in response to appeals targeting coalition countries", states one of the communications, translated from Arabic, which ISIS sent out on October 2.

An intercepted ISIS communication from October 2 claims credit for the shooting in Las Vegas on October 1.

But the group remains active in recruiting followers on social media, and has repeatedly called on its supporters to carry out attacks in Western nations.
