Miami Beach club's stunt involving horse, bikini-clad woman sparks outcry, probe

"We are very concerned over the allegations", the department said on Twitter. The animal became startled and bucked, causing the woman to fall off. Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber condemned the "entertainment" from that night, calling it "insane stupidity". "We're looking at it from a city perspective in terms of licensing, and we're looking at it from a police perspective in terms of the potential for cruelty charges", said Officer Ernesto Rodriguez.

"The city was made aware of an incident involving possible animal cruelty and a hazard to public safety", a a href="http://www.miamibeachfl.gov/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Miami-Beach-Revokes-Mokai-Lounge-Business-License.pdf" City of Miami Beach statement /a said.

Viewers sent CBS Miami social media photos that on one occasion purport to show a camel being lead through the place, and another photo of a different horse in the club, with the name Mokai painted on its coat.

But furious commenters have descended on the Facebook page of the club, which is located at 23rd Street and Liberty Avenue just north of the Bass.

It was not clear who brought the horse or why it was in the club. "Idiots!" a user named Melanie A. posted. These people are insane! "I've reached out to local law enforcement and am hoping to hear back". "This is inhumane and deserves serious attention ASAP".

Miami officials are done horsing around with a Miami nightclub after they allowed a woman in a bikini to ride into their establishment on a white stallion. He's won the George Polk Award and was a finalist for the Goldsmith Prize for Investigative Reporting.
