British man exposed to Novichok discharged

UK police claim poison attack suspects were Russian

According to one version, the finder of the bottle they could be used in a previous crime.

Later it became known that woman poisoned with Novichok, the Russian-made nerve agent, died at a hospital in Amesbury, England.

Senior coroner David Ridley headed a brief hearing Thursday, but said the cause of Dawn Sturgess' death won't be given until further tests are completed.

Charlie Rowley, who was poisoned by what the British authorities claim to be the Novichok nerve agent, was discharged from hospital on Friday and poses no risk to the public, the medics said.

'I tried to console him and said that he needed to try and keep as strong as possible so he can recover.

A source with knowledge of the investigation told the Press Association: "Investigators believe they have identified the suspected perpetrators of the Novichok attack through CCTV and have cross-checked this with records of people who entered the country around that time".

The inquest heard that a "small glass bottle of fluid" containing Novichok had been found at Mr Rowley's home in Muggleton Road, Amesbury.

The news agency reported several Russians were thought to be involved in their attempted murder in Salisbury. Britain has blamed Russian Federation for poisoning the spy and his daughter, who both recovered, as well as accidently poisoning the two other Britons.

Charlie Rowley, who is in a critical but stable condition in hospital, made the admission to his brother during an emotional phone conversation yesterday evening.

PA said investigators believe Sturgess was exposed to at least 10 times the amount of nerve agent as the Skripals came into contact with.

Dawn Sturgess, 44, and her 45-year-old partner Charlie Rowley collapsed at his house in Amesbury within hours of each other on June 30.

"We're pleased that Mr Rowley is well enough to leave hospital, Paul Cosford, Director of Health Protection and Medical Director at Public Health England said".

Queen Elizabeth Gardens has been sealed off while teams of investigators conduct forensic searches throughout the park.

Britain has blamed Russian Federation for the attack on the Skripals - a charge strongly denied by Moscow which has challenged British authorities to publish the evidence.

Rowley's brother Matthew told The Sunday Telegraph his brother's memory about the incident is "vague", but the 45-year-old remembers handling a container that appeared to be a perfume bottle.
